About Golden-Shell

Golden-Shell Pharmaceutical Co. Ltd., founded in 1994, was originally known as Golden-Shell Biochemical and now is the largest manufacturer of chitin and chitin derivatives in China. Golden-Shell is located in Yuhuan County of Zhejiang Province, which provides easy access to international ports such as Shanghai port and Ningbo port.

Covering an area of more than 20,000 square meters, Golden-Shell has been granted many domestic and foreign certifications such as the NSF-GMP, ISO22000:2005 and HALAL. Moreover, we have achieved the Drug Manufacturing License for Pharmaceutical Excipients and Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients. Drug Master Files have been prepared for several of our products and the DMF number has been issued by the US-FDA. Golden-Shell International LLC was established and registered in New Jersey, USA in 2014. Our trademark "GOLDEN-SHELL"has been successfully registered in many countries, and our company has been authorized to import and export goods independently. Based on a global sales network, Golden-Shell exports more than 95% of its products and has exported to over 30 countries and regions around the world.

Specialization as well as Quality

Golden-Shell has production workshops and a quality control laboratory for glucosamine, chitosan, chitosan oligosaccharide, chitin derivatives, etc. Dedicated workshops are all in full compliance with domestic and international GMP requirements. All the staff here have received strict training and passed the examination, which maximally avoids mix-up, error, contamination, and cross-contamination during production.Our purified water system, HVAC system, and compressed air system are all built according to GMP standard, from the initial URS (User Requirement Specification) to final performance qualification.

There are dedicated warehouses to meet different storage requirements for raw materials, packaging materials, and finished products.Golden-Shell has a state-of-the-art quality control laboratory, which allows us to perform a wide scope of tests and analysis, from physical and chemical testing, precision instrument analysis, to microbiological examinations. Thus, Golden-Shell products conform to the standards of many countries, such as USP, EP, BP, CP, and so on. Reserve sample: The reserve sample is retained for one year after the expiration date.

Drug stability monitoring: We have GMP compliant facilities for drug stability monitoring, which makes sure all our products remain stable in quality before the expiration date. In addition, Golden-Shell passed NSF site audit and gained NSF-GMP certificate at the end of 2013. Currently, the company is preparing to declare CEP certification.

Golden-Shell firmly sticks to develop through technology innovation and develops more than thirty new marine polysaccharide products, such as the Glucosamine series, Chitosan series, and Chitosan oligosaccharide series, including a state-level new product and five provincial high-tech products. Golden-Shell also has research institutions such as Chitin Research and Development Joint Laboratory and Provincial High-tech Research and Development Center and undertakes more than eleven provincial-level research projects, with thirteen patents for inventions and more than ten scientific and technological achievements, including a second prize of provincial science and technology progress (The Spark Plan).
